The Grand Hotel Wien at Kärntner Ring 9 will celebrate its 150th anniversary on 10th May 2020. The preparations for this event have been going on for months. The comprehensive plans as to how the hotel wanted to celebrate the round anniversary together with the Viennese as well as Austrian and international guests - starting with the anniversary reception with a grand concert in the ballroom, a Guglhupf world record and the introduction of a new ball tradition - had to be discarded without further ado due to the restrictions imposed by the Corona Pandemic.
Hotel director Horst Mayer commented: "We hold to the same principles as Albert Einstein, who said: 'Two things are necessary for our work: untiring perseverance and the willingness to throw away something in which you have put a lot of time and work' The motto is not to give up and find new ways. We have decided to let the Austrian people celebrate with us in a different way and to offer what is now urgently needed: "Anticipation!" says director Horst Mayer.
Grand Hotel Wien raffles a weekend in the Presidential Suite including dinner service by the management and an all-round carefree package
From the moment it opens to the public, all guests of the Lobby Restaurant Rosengarten and UNKAI - Bar & Sushi as well as all hotel guests can take part in the large-scale prize draw.
Every week winners are drawn who can win, among other things, a candle light dinner at the starred restaurant Le Ciel by Toni Mörwald or a relaxation day at the Grand Spa N° 605.
After 150 days, the main winner will be drawn from all participants, who can look forward to the ultimate luxury package: two nights in the Presidential Suite incl. champagne reception, dinner in the suite, personally served by the management team of the Grand Hotel Wien, teppanyaki dinner in the restaurant UNKAI, luxury picnic basket and a personal Grand Hotel Wien "Ambassador Card" for one year.
Condition for participation is a consumption at the Lobby Restaurant Rosengarten or UNKAI- Bar & Sushi.
