The legendary Grand Hotel Wien, on Vienna’s elegant Ringstrasse, has been counted among the most luxurious hotels of Europe ever since it opened in 1870. Since then it has become a place of pilgrimage for the nobility, for the elite, for politicians, and for artists from all over the world. In 1894, Johann Strauss the Younger celebrated his 50^th anniversary as a performer in the Ballroom of the Grand Hotel Wien.

One of the leading Japanese restaurants in Austria, the “UNKAI”, honoured with one toques and 14 points by Gault Millau, offers traditional Japanese food. On the ground floor of the Grand Hotel, in the “UNKAI Bar & Sushi”, excellent sushi creations await the guest in an easy, relaxed atmosphere, and in summer with its own terrace. The Grand Brasserie in the “bel étage” of the establishment offers typical Austrian specialities and international dishes.
